sending x50 sounds to m50
title says it all. is there a way that i can take my sexy fine x50 sounds effects and either make them, or (hopefully) send them to my sexier and finer m50 so i can use my m50 for my band. If i have to make them (most likely the case) how do i do that? Im pretty terrible at this whole "synth" thing lol.
I need the same. For example, BX3 on the X50 is BETTER than on M50. And much more.

Current gear: Krome - I love it; Vox ToneLab ST - simply perfect; Hartke KM200 - thunder on the stage; Epiphone LP GoldTop - i always wished
Past gear: M50 - my honey; microX - replacement for my X50 (like sound module controlled from M50); X50 - lightweight and powerful; KORG AX 3G - small and well

its fine i cant transfer i get that its a different engine, but is there a way i can create these sounds on the m50. My keyboards are not in teh same place right now so i don't know. I leave the x50 at band practice and the m50 at my house. so before i go moving equipment everywhere i just wanted to know if its possible. I don't know very much about creating sound effects but i cant imagine why i couldn't just input the values of my x50 into my m50 and get relatively the same sound. get me?
Yeah, that would be the only way to do it.
And then you'll need to do a bit more work, when you consider things that the M50 has which the X50 doesn't, making sure you 'translate' some of the features right.
For example, when converting my patches from microKorg to Radias, I found that to get the 'distortion On' from the MK, I had to put drive On and depth to 64 on the Radias.
The filter system on the M50 and X50 is the main thing which comes to mind - X50 will have one low pass filter with resonance, or a high and a low pass filter without resonance. On the M50 you have a lot more options.
Then if the ranges of the parameters vary significantly you have to tweak by hand to find values which sound similar. For example cutoff of 60 on the X50 might translate to a cutoff of 75 on the M50, perhaps.
But you've got the right idea, yes.

god i wish there was like a synth for dummies or some kinda dvd or somethign for this. im so lost on how people know all this stuff lo. well the second best thing to learnign is listening so thank you. Sound like a whole lot of work though
. also i have a microkorg and i actually comprehend how it works for the most part. i wish my other korgs were so simple lol
