Hey guys iv had my esx for a while now but dont use it as much as id like to due to the slow work flow moving samples between the computer and the unit. This got me thinking what could speed this process up. Then i got thinking of my old emu e4xt sampler has a function where you can send audio samples via midi cable from the computer to the unit that was a god send when i figured that out as you'll know if you ever owned an old hardware sampler. Its a pain to get synced up to a modern computer especially a mac in my case.
Anyway its a lot quicker for me to send samples to my emu sampler then my esx which got me thinking it would be great if that way of sending samples across midi could be implemented into the esx.
I attended a show in london a few months ago and a representative from korg was there showcasing some of the new korg lines. So i asked him if it was possible if you could send samples via midi to the esx the answer was no obviously you can only send patterns etc.
Do any of you guys think this would be a good idea? maybe someway this could be requested as an update. I know id like to see it implemented.
what do you guys think?
Sample dump via midi.

if they were going to go to all that trouble wouldnt it be easier to just ask for usb? my sp606 works as a sound card, a midi connection and sample transfer all through the usb...
there are a ton of "i wish korg would...." threads on the tribe section of this forum.... its a bummer that it looks like nothing will happen.
