I recently got Pro Tools 8 LE and a Digidesign Mbox2 with it.
I have the microKorg's MIDI out running to the Mbox's MIDI in.
In Pro Tools I can not find it. Does anyone know how to set up the microKorg to be a MIDI controller correctly?
I think I may be doing something wrong.
microKorg as MIDI controller(can't be detected in Pro Tools)

MIDI has no recognition or handshaking protocols. MIDI devices themselves need no drivers either because there are only a small standard set of messages they can send.
The interface itself needs a driver but you've got that set up, right.
In most software, your MIDI port you select then for your MIDI tracks will be the MBox's MIDI port. It won't mention the microKorg in the software at all - it doesn't care what it actually is, it just sends notes and controller values etc. like any other MIDI controller.

When I go into the "MIDI Studio Setup" menu, I name the MIDI controller (mickroKorg) and set to send channel one and recieve channel one. But for some odd reason when I click on the I/O for the MIDI controller it does not pop-up with anything for it. As if there isn't even MIDI ports on my interface.

I have the hardware setup and connected correctly, and all the neccesary software requirements but just can't get it to work.
