In order to update my i4s I have purchased a remote Floppy/usb drive enabling me to download latest sounds on my pc to load them onto a floppy and programme the i4s with them. Unfortunately I cannot overcome an incompatibility between the disc format for i4s and the format for the remote drive - neither recognises the other and requires a reformat. Any ideas?
thanks

Hi David
There is no reason why the floppies should not be compatible however if one of the drives is out of alignment then it will write and read its own floppies but other devices may not read them. Can you get access (friend etc...) to another drive - this will determine which is the odd one out.
(I can't remember.... does the i4s accept HD floppies or just SD?)

hi I've just bought a i4s and want to reset it to factory uk remix. I have downloaded the remix from Korg but am experiencing the same problems trying to write to i4 formatted disk. have you had any luck so far?
UPDATE: found out that if you cover over the square hole in floppy disk opposite to disk protect, pc will write to disk ok and i4s will read with no problems (i used win 98 pc)
