Weighted action MIDI controller

Post by Fatalmasterpiece »

Hi guys, I'm in the market for a weighted action MIDI controller. I don't care about the number of keys or functions but since it would be to gig with I don't really want to spend more than $400.

Does a decent one even exist in that price range? I'm very happy with my Korg TR, but I want some better action when playing complicated parts. All I seem to be able to find are $700 beasts with crazy functions that I wouldn't feel as comfortable with lugging around in the back of a van.

I used to have a CME that I picked up for $400.

Thanks.

I did some more research on the model and CME in general. It seems that almost every review says they have nothing but eventual problems with CME's quality and the keyboards just don't hold up. Maybe I should just save up for something better.

I can't speak to the build quality, as I hardly ever used mine. I bought it for another piano student in the house, then sold it when he found the guitar a little sexier.
