yes.

did it really need colors? did it really need to be called electribe? did everything need to look like the knobs/buttons on an actual em?

the answer is no. but we, as humans, like aesthetics. I don't see why having tube graphics is pissing everyone off so much.

There's no actual tubes in it but there is actual tube emulation in it (unlike the ER-1) so it's not that weird that they added a pic of the tubes, paying homage to the ESX/EMX.

yes, tube simulation is included, so it does make sense.

It looks like an Electribe because it plays like one,
for those of us used to them, it's an easier adjustment to the touchscreen

It's a psychological thing.

But what I really want is more controls ;-)
An arpegiator? and / or kaoss pad in there!
Now Rocking ELECTRIBE 2 !

Looking at all the examples, I'd say the designers couldn't think of anything to fill the screen real estate...

The old (real) Marshall valve amps didn't have the valves at the front - you could see them through the grill - that was it! These tubes aren't real and add no value to the real estate used.

It's like one of my pet hates on websites - 'you are visitor #....'. Wow that really enhances my user experience... not.

Sorry - feel better now that I got that off my chest!
