NEW KORG USER
Hi to all Korg Users
I have recently bought a PA800 and love it. However I cannot get the voice harmonies to work by switching on the Harmony button on the Mic setting. I can only get the harmonies to work from one Style setting that was provided on a disc from the retailer. Isn't there a global setting that allows the harmonies to work whenever you select them on the Mic setting?
Thanks

Re: NEW KORG USER
Hi there, If you like the setting that your Retailer gave you on Disc, you can save that Globally to be Default when you turn on pa800. You can create your own settings [including the one you have] by pressing the 'Global' button on your keyboard and Screen Menu press 'Voice processor setup'. Create your settings on the three tabs and then 'Screen Menu' - Write Global Voice processor setup. Name it and tick box to save as 'Default'. This will be automatically setup everytime you boot up the keyboard....korg_unlimited wrote:Hi to all Korg Users

Hope that helps. Further information is in your Manual in the Global Edit Mode Section.

Thank you, Keith. Your advice was great! There are so many features and settings that can vary the paramaters of the instrument. It will take me a while to navigate through them. Thanks again, much appreciated. Chris

VOCAL HARMONIES
Keith
Can you please tell me why the vocal harmonies only work when
I activate the style accompaniment. As sson as I turn the accompaniment off the harmonies switch off. Yet, in the instructional DVD, harmonies can be switched on and off simply by pressing the harmony button. Also, I have accidentally saved a harmony setting No 26 over teh top of the TC Helicon factory setting. How can I restore the TC Helicon setting which is the No 1 setting?

Hi Chris
In order for the PA800 to generate correct harmonies, it requires a chord (or notes). In STYLE play mode the harmony uses the chord you play - when you stop playing, the PA800 does not now which harmonies to apply (hence they cant be heard) - In SONG play mode the harmonies will be based on a MIDI track (this is configurable).
Hope this helps

KORG HARMONIES
Pete
This issue is driving me crazy! When I switch on the PA800 the Harmonies button is lit and the harmonies feature does work without a style activation. I can cancel it by turning off the button and switch it back on again as many times as I wish. This is before I activate any of the style settings. However, as soon as I select any of the styles and activate them the harmonies feature is deactivated and it will only work when the particluar style is activated. Why is this happening? HELP!!!!!!!!!

sorry I`m not Pete.
please look the settings on the following page.
Press "SHIFT"+"MEMORY". Style Preferences.
Try the Memory-Mode. Please read in the Manual.
This is the setting for your real-hold and still backing-hold-function.
Select Chord & Lower. So the VHP will also work, when you are not playing the lower-sound. But you have to play 1-time the lower-sound.
Then you can stop (start/stop) the memory-function. Now you can hear the VHP without playing the style/lower-sound.
But now the last chord is activ (without sounding) for the VHP.
I hope you can understand my bad english.
