Seriously, what's up with Logic Pro and Korg Legacy?

Post by synthflymachine »

I've been surfing the net, and I can't find anything that can help me use Legacy within Logic. I have Logic Pro 9, and I also have the newest version of Korg Legacy Analog Edition with the dongle. Anyone else beyond pissed off about this? Please help. Thanks.

What exactly is your problem?

I use Korg Legacy Analog Edition with the dongle in Logic 9.1.1 (OSX 10.6.3) and have no problems.

Perhaps if you describe exactly what problems you're experiencing then it will easier for others to help you.

I bought an analog collection recently and i guess his problem was the installation.
If that's the case my recommendation is:
Get the update for the collection(newer than the CD) from korg users net.
also get the update for the copy-protection.
when the installation from the cd gives you an error about copy-protection continue installing until end.
update collection
update copy-p.
get key for dongle from korg-user-net
worked for me -> osx10.6.3/logic 8.0.2

Hi there :)
I have Logic Pro9, Snow leopard and the "old" Legacy Collection (the one with the USB controller).
Logic 9 denied operation unless I deactivated the Legacy collection plugins (all of them)
I'm not sure which version you have - i thought I had the newest one.
And I don't know which OS you are on.
For Snow Leopard I needed:
KORG Legacy Collection (KLC-1) v1.2 Upgrade
(about 15 USD). Check with Korg support (they rock!) to see what version you need.
You can buy it over korguser.net (at the shop which is linked there).

As I said, I needed to buy the 1.2 upgrade for 15 bucks. Now it works like a charm. Sucks a little to have to buy an upgrade, but it's still very much worth it :)
Good luck! :)

Oh and this may help as well:

https://www.korguser.net/shop/software/support/faq.asp

But as I said, contact korg support and tell them exactly which version you have (registered at korguser.net), and they will tell you how it works.

After doing the 15 $ upgrade from KLC-1 and launched Logic 9 I coudn't find any KORG plug-ins in the I/O folder...
In order to get them visible I found out you have to go to "Preferences"-->"Audio Units Manager"--> Click two times at each of the unchecked KORG boxes, there you go! (Wouldn't do with the "Reset and Rescan-button")
