Microkorg midi issue - velocity

Post by microkorgy »

Is there any way to adjust the velocity response when using microkorg as a midi keyboard?

Currently the volume does not seem proportionate to how hard the keys are being struck. And when playing chords sometimes, some notes almost sound dead unless you strike really hard, which isn't the case with a real piano.

sure its not your softsynth?

I know that Logic's pianos are really soft even when banged on, for example.

get something that can read MIDI events and check that you can get up to 127 velocity
Current: MS-20 Mini, Minilogue, SY77
Past: Korg R3, Volca Bass, X50, Mg Slim Phatty, Rld Gaia SH-01, Yamaha TX81Z

It's been the same for every soft synths so far. Plus they don't seem to have their own velocity tools. Tried changing MK's global velocity value but it seems not to affect midi velocity. cheers

My bad here, there is one vst instrument that responds properly to midi velocity, I've found out. Now I will fiddle with the others, perhaps I've missed some midi setting, which even if I find it I won't know what it means. thanks.
