ESX-1 clock out of time with logic

Hi guys iv been putting drums loops in my esx-1 and then recording them into logic at the same tempo as my logic project to record effects etc. But iv noticed that my esx seems to run slightly faster then logic so i end up having to mess around when im chopping the loops up is there anyway to calibrate the clock?

(I dont have the esx plugged into midi with this setup its purely just to record from the esx)

U CAN SYNC THE MIDI CLOCK TO THE TRIBES. GO TO SETTING MIDI SYNC AND SYNC ALL.... THAT SHOULD DO IT.

The best solution would be to connect them through MIDI (what you aren't doing at the moment) and set the ESX as slave to Ableton, even if just temporarily for your tracking session.

edit: Yes, sorry I meant logic. I'm so used to everyone using that Ableton thingy.

Get a midi usb cable, you can get them for a few quid, then you can sync the clocks. Only way round it.
Also once you do that, you need to change the hardware latency compensation in Logics options, and it then offsets the clocks by the delay caused by your PC hardware. Then you will be cooking with gas.

Hi guys thanks a lot for the replys. The way im using it atm is bouncing a loop from logic so it is at logic bpm then sending the full loop the the esx sort of as a playback device with effects. So the esx must be cutting the sample off short for it to be out of sync. Or thats what i think anyway.

I'll give the midi clock sync a go with logic today and post back to see if that sorts it out.
