What would be best for me?

Hi, I have had a microKorg for over a year now and love it but I want to have some kind of sequencer/sampler to loop my sounds and such. But I would like to have drums to go along with this. I am completely clueless when it comes to sampling and stuff past basic synthesis so what would be best for me to start learning about sampling, etc?

I was looking at a KAOSS Pad and thought that might be a good stepping stone but I'm not 100% sure. Can someone help me?
