Hi guys just bought myself a ESX today so just getting used to using it. Iv managed to sync it to logic and edit midi etc.
Im having a problem where say im playing a straight hat part by its self but it keeps on missing out step 9 even when its selected to play. I thought there was maybe something wrong with the unit but when i check step 9 on another sample it works fine. Iv had a mess around with solo and part mute and when solo mode is on the part plays as it should. But then when i turn it off it stops playing again.
Teh only thing i can think of is step 9 is turned down for that sample but im not sure if you can even do that. Is it possible to adjust volume for individual steps of say the hat part? Or is there something else im doing wrong.
Thanks a lot Jamie
ESX-1 keeps missing steps on certain parts.

Yes, Step Edit mode allows you to adjust parameters for an individual note, including the Level (i.e. volume) the sample plays at. The sample Start Point could also be set for that sample, so it starts playing the sample from right at the end. See "Motion Sequence" in chapter 5 of the manual for details of how to check if there is motion sequence data recorded for the part and how to edit/erase it if necessary.jamie8286 wrote: Teh only thing i can think of is step 9 is turned down for that sample but im not sure if you can even do that. Another possibility is that the sample is on one of the grouped parts, 6A, 6B, 7A or 7B. Only one of 6A & 6B can play at once, similarly for 7A & 7B. If your sample is on 6B and 6A is selected to play on step 9 it won't play both
