were you working in reaktor for awhile? i just got a copy and might start fiddling with a new kp3 project myself.

yeah the very first thing i tried was in reaktor 5
it was a pretty good live rig
but not everybody making music could have used it unless u had reaktor 5

so had to start from scratch in synthedit then i could export the .dll file so people could use it in a vst host

but things got interesting when i downloaded the max/msp 4 demo then max/msp5 demo that gave me 60 days to experiment on something
came up with an 8 track dj mp3 mixing app 4 tracks split into two channels
the kp3 triggered and saved cue points got a pretty decent muti channel scratch algrythm implemented and a few other cool bits done before the time limit ran out
then max4live came out

so downloaded puredata to fcuk about with its bit slower to get working
but u can get most of the stuff max/msp can do that id tried

anyway ill look out some of the patches i was working on and send u them
some nice array sequencer stuff and some cool glitched out fx scratch loop algorythms

oh yeah hear theres new news on reaktor 6

yeah, actually i got reaktor for $99 when it was on sale and i only bought it cause i read on the forums they were getting to work on reaktor 6. have to say, even though they haven't upgraded in 5 years it still sounds better than max 5 to me lol. maybe that's cause building synths is so much easier.

i couldn't even get the beta of max4live to authenticate on my machine :(

anyway, this summer i want to start working on a reaktor based alternative "OS" for the kp3 so it will work the way i want it to. i haven't worked out the details yet but i'll send some stuff your way when i get started.

yeah ive never even upgraded since i got it a few years ago now as i never upgrade unless its broken
im still using verision 5 .1.1.2 cant load up more up to date patches
but i just build my own anyway but still theres alsorts to be done with it even before u get into the core side of things theres still a few years left in it youll probably read this in the forums
the only thing i think its lacking is multiformat audio and id be happy

u could also build some stuff then using osc hook it up to your kaonome app
that could save u fcuking about with something that youve already done

good call! didn't even think about that, i was going to write a whole reaktor controller for the LEDs (by FAR the hardest component of that project).

i forget that reaktor does OSC because it's so hidden. haven't really figured out how it works yet but i'm sure it will be simple enough.

right? i was psyched, they even had a $300 upgrade to komplete for a while (which is insane, all of komplete for $400) but i couldn't afford it at the time...

yeah the leds part in reaktor what i can remember was a real hassle did manage to get it working though

also the komplete package sounds like another great deal
especially if u aint into programing
but its a bit of waste of cash if u can
as im sure all there instruments --fm7 fm8 guitar rig traktor massive etc
to my understanding are primarily made using a special version of reaktor that uses c+ proggramming aswell not 100% on that though
