Hi,
For a more direct way of setting the arpeggiator-speed, it'd obviously been nice
if there had been
a Tap Tempo button on the MS2000 already.
Or at least a mode for the footswitch to do this, but OK, no more OS-updates for
the MS2000.
It's clearly an often requested thing (like for instance here:
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... 1c0d109fed\

<http>
),
so I figure many others will have been thinking about this.
OK, so for the MS2000 it's to be done by MIDI Clock, and while there are various
boxes out there with a Tap-button, they either send out MIDI Notes, or
nothing-MIDI at all.
I'm not after lengthy syncing-functionality, just looking for a more convenient
way to set the tempo on the MS2000,
and this without a computer. It'd just need to be a simple box with a button or
footswitch-connector & a MIDI-Clock output.
The only boxes I'm aware of are the Ploytec-pedal & some Redsound-gear. And the
latest Kaoss Pad (3).
I'd be interested to hear to what you all might be using for such a function.
Thanks !

this answer may not be what you are looking for but here goes:
connect a simple drum machine like one of those boss dr cheap ones
connect them via midi..and set or tap the tempo on the dr
but don't play the drum machine..just have it turned on
it might be a more complicated method than you were searching for but if you happen to have something like the dr lying around it will work
bleearghhugghh

Thanks for the idea, would be fine to add a small additonal thing like this.
Only drumbox remaining here an old Alesis, unfort. it doesn't do this.
And the Dr550-II I had neither I thought.
So I had a look at the various DR-models and as I understood
I need one with the 'Tap Tempo' button (relatively more recent
types like the 670, also the 202), not just 'Tempo' (like the older
550, 660 etc)
Or which model do you happen to use for this ?
Thanks !
