Korg DW-8000 notes are sticking

Post by FrogLegs »

anyone know how to fix notes that don't quit.......be playing along and then 1 note will continue to tone and i have to power keyboard off to reset. i'm using the keyboard as a midi into another korg keyboard so i can use the other one's sounds.

but this has done the same thing with other synthesizer, when using midi.

Are you going out from the the DW-8000 to another, or controlling the DW from another keyboard?

does it happen when you're using the DW-8000 as the sound source (without the other synth)?

does it happen when you're using the keyboard on the other synth instead of midi-ing the DW-8000 to it?

usually there's another way to send an "all-notes-off" message on other synthesizers instead of turning the keyboard off... like switch to combination mode or global mode or something. can't really think of another solution. it just sounds like the "note-off" message isn't making it through the MIDI cable into the other synth.
