My problem is:
I've connected via MIDI to my PC the pa80.
I want to record what I play using styles in the software sequencer (p.e. rosegarden).
When I play the recorded traces It plays with instruments of GM standard and not with instruments porgrammed by the style.
I've checked the midi configuration (global-> midiout and global->midiin) and it seems ok.
What is wrong?
the question is: I want record what i play and listen when play a style. How I can do?
Thanks in advance

PA80 with Logic: GM-sounds only??!
Hello,
Here's another question on a similar topic:
I'm trying to use the sound engine of my PA80 with Logic Express 8 as an external sequencer, but all I get are the GM-sounds only. How do I use the whole internal sound palette of the PA80 using Logic?

one possiblity is to cancel all sysex messages and even pc messages and simply assign the coresponding sounds you want in PA, for each channel (song mode or song play mode are well suited) and play the whole things from the computer.
that works here, but only thru two midi cables, it seems one USB-MIDI cable won't do it, but this is rather am issue of the audiocard you have.
i do this with reaper daw and an e-mu 0404 usb audiocard.
don't forget to choose "external sequencer" in the MIDI menu.
