nanoPAD Snow Leopard issues

Post by chimp »

Hi, I recently bought a nanoPAD that worked perfectly until I upgraded to Snow Leopard. Since then it doesn't respond properly to my commands anymore. Some of the buttons work randomly and others simply don't work.

It behaves like that under Ableton Live and Logic. I guess this could be either a hardware or a driver issue, but I can't figure it out since I don't have access to computers with other operating systems.

If this is Snow Leopard related I imagine that more people could be having these issues. So, anyone? Or can anyone say this is FOR SURE a hardware issue?

Anyway, this is my first experience with a KORG product and it is turning out to be a very bad one. They are taking too long to update the drivers to Snow Leopard (all other companies for other products I own have already updated).

thanks for reading.

Has nothing to do with SL - its a hardware issue. Call Korg and they'll ship you a replacement unit.

thanks for your answer.

So, would you say it's just a big coincidence it stopped working right after I upgraded to SL?

Also, are you Brazilian (your nickname)? If so, have you ever repaired/replaced any KORG products in Brazil? ('cause I'm from Brazil)

I am from Brazil but live in the US.

My NanoPAD died earlier this year in the same way yours did, so yes its a coincidence.

Called Korg USA and had a replacement in less than a week.

thanks again. At least now I know I should not wait for a driver update.

I guess I must contact the importer here...
