Editor Software (I need one that doesn't suck)

Post by SamAndrew »

Thinking it was the best one, I purchased TR Soundeditor (TREdpro) but the more I use the more I'm realizing that it SUCKS and wishing I could get my money back! I CANNOT BELIEVE that Korg didn't make software to support these boards (LE or TR), it's simply mind blowing. Last Korg I had (X5DR) came with KORG software, which is good becasue IT'S MADE BY KORG! WTF, KORG, WHY NO SOFTWARE?!? Just piss-poor! :(

I've been finding myself just using the onboard screen (which is ridiculous) because the TR Soundeditor program sucks so bad...don't even get me started on the joke that is the arp editor...

What do you guys use and how much is it/where can I get it, ect?

...and for the love of God, no has responded to my last 2 posts, someone PLEASE respond to this one before I give up on this forum! :(

I don't use any editor. I program all of my sounds onscreen. Once you know where everything is, its not that hard to go straight to the tab for what you are looking for.
It is a bit difficult if your buttons start giving in though.

Yes, I've learned where everything is but I just feel that if I had a good editor, it'd be so much easier, faster and more efficient. For example, typing in the name of patch verses inputting it on the TR screen...no comparison, it's so much easier to type it on a computer!

Sadly, there never was an official editor released for the TR.
I didn't try out this TREditPro from Sound Tower, but I'm a bit disappointed to hear that it sucks.

If nothing, typing names of the patches would save you a lot of time and nerves :)
