Touch Screen not responding

Post by bpm938 »

Today I was playing my TE and everything was working fine. Within a few mins time the touch screen stopped responding. The keyboard still works fine; all the buttons work, the sound is fine, but the touch screen will not respond at all. i did nothing out of the ordinary. The last thing i did was change the damper polarity in GLobal settings and then a couple mins later it wasn't responding at all. Has anybody ever dealt with an issue like this? Is there a fairly easy fix or is my touch screen just dead?

You could try a cold start re-boot.
Make sure you save all your settings first.
Re-load factory default settings.
Check Screen.
Re-load your own data.
Also, check you have the latest KTE software loaded.
If this fails, it would appear you have technical problem - contact KORG support / technical dept.

Update

So it seems to have been a fluke. This problem persisted for a couple days. Finally I tried turning it off, taking out the compact flash drive and turning the keyboard on again and the touch pad was suddenly working. I turned it back off and put the flash drive back in and turned it on and it was still working like normal. So somehow the flash drive must have frozen things up. It's still weird cause I know I tried taking the drive out once before with no results.

i guess i don't care what happened, I'm just glad it's working again.
