I am trying to set up my new padKontrol with an intel powerbook running 10.5.8. The device is detected in "Audio Midi Setup", but there is a checkbox
[ ] Device is online
Which is greyed out and not checked. The controller is not detected by Reason and I can't use it.
I also have a mac mini running 10.5.7 and the device is detected and shown as online by Audio Midi Setup and Reason is able to detect it as a controller without any issues whatsoever. So....the controller seems to be working.
Has anyone gotten this to work with 10.5.8?
padKontrol "offline" in audio midi setup (mac 10.5

Maybe a similar problem here: my microKontrol doesn't show up as "microKontrol" in audio-midi editor and in Ableton Live, but as "USB Gerät" rsp. "USB device".
So I have to change all routings in Ableton Live songs from "microKontrol" to "USB device".
the problem is there since I use Mac OS 10.5.8 with my iMac. my MacBook with 10.5.7 doesn't show this problem!

I don't have airpot turned on and my KorgKontrol Is shown in the Audio/MIDI set up checked, but grey.sarmad wrote:Same thing was happening to me the device is online checkbox was grayed out... this is what fixed it for me.... I turned the airpot off, and the device came online (also try all the usb ports.)
Turning the Airport back on, after the device was online didn't cause it to go back offline.
I can't get the MIDI "Connecter for CTRL (built-in) to change from 0 to 1-is that CTRL(built-in) and SLIDER/KNOB(built-in) supposed to appear in the Audio/MIDI setup's box for adding/removing Ports?
