He never used the TRITON unlike DEREK SHERINIAN that has (2) Korg Triton Extreme 76.
not exactly he does use two triton rack when he used the k2600 in his gigs and used a triton extreme for his own experiments (can't remember if he used it with DT too).

I was talking about JR not Sherinian! Just a little misunderstood.

Didn't JORDAN RUDESS also use a KARMA as a sound module?

yes Rudess did use Karma as a sound modul as well as couple of tritons. But I think he and Sherinian are both out of this thread because they have moved on from the tritons. Rudess is now a Oasys-user and Sherinian uses M3 pretty much...

They all can read .PCG right?

You can transfer the files via storage devices then fine tune them on the target keyboard?
You are right in that sense that most of Korg Keyboards share the .PCG -fileformat (ProgramCombiGlobal btw :D) but you still cannot transfer your sounds between different architechtures. Trinity PCGs won't work on Triton and vice versa. As well as Triton and M3/M50 won't recognize the same PCGs.

chilly7 wrote: Yes, but in this situation u can not use touch screen what is radiculus good for live shows.

Tritons were one of the best synth in their time but now there are new technologies

And still i don't understend,U can use to synth in the same time so u can have acces to all octaves, if the reason is keys feel, well i strongly can not belive that Oasys or M3 can not beat Tritons. M3 or Oasys for shure is better

I use to play Korg TR and it has not very good keys and after tuch is very bad. But maby Toumas has some king of castom shop of TR with keys from Tritons? but still what's wrong with Oasys, it has bigger Touch Screen, and alot more real time controllers? I have seen Toumas playing Oasys at live show ones very long time ago.....

p.s. The only what i can belive is that thay signed a contract with Satan that thay will be the best musicians in the world but thay will play Tritons for the rest of their live...
Haven't heard about any custom shop stuff, but the reason why he is not using Oasys on the road is basically that if one of his keyboards crashes he can easily get a new one nearly anywhere in the world. Also Tuomas has always been a multikeyboard user (he has always had at least 2 keyboards when playing live) so I think he would have huge amount of learning to do with one Oasys. So that might be the reason he doesn't go for Oasys on the gigs.
Also Tuomas has addmitted that he is not that good with technology and uses very much presets of sounds so Oasys might be too much to handle for him (keeping mind that he started with N364 and used it very long, and compared to that Oasys is something like childrens-learn-to-read-book vs. the Bible)

Yes, but KORG interface has really stayed the same since M1, just menues and touch screens have changed into the mix and added bells and whistles. I started with an X3 and when I dig into menues of Triton, many similarity. :)

That's why I own more KORG than anything else...lolz
