flickering, all modes

Post by lebeau99 »

All modes and all pages in all modes. Unable to choose any parameter in any mode by any method (number pad, wheel, up/down buttons, slider, touch). Eg. SEQ, p.0-1i. Uncontrollable seek through all program banks. Can't load anything from disk. Have reinstalled os 2.5.3 several times. No effect. How do I solve this? To Bruce L. who responded in Dec when I had this for the first time: what is the "power of three"? David

Sounds like a hardware problem so I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to help you other than a service centre.

You can however try the following, but I don't think it will help much.

Turn off the Triton.
Press and hold down the enter and 0 buttons
Turn on the Triton
After 5 seconds let go of the Enter and 0 buttons

This will flush the memory where the PCG data is stored.

flickering or, better, spontaneous scrolling

Thanks. I tried that and you're right, it didn't help. After trying that, all I have now in Com and Prog modes is "Initial combi (or prog) A000". I then reinstalled os 2.53 and still have only those "initial" voices. As you say, service centre seems the next step.
The only solar-powered TC and, now, EXTREME on the forum? The planet?

Reloading your factory disk will get your sounds back.
Not that it matters I guess at this point as you need to get the hardware fault fixed before your keyboard is usable.

Best of luck, hope it all works out for you.
