Audio Inputs

Post by Phil_The_Rodent »

Howdy folks,

I'm trying to open up the 2 Audio Inputs for general input/effects on the back of my Triton Classic, but I don't know where these settings are. I had *assumed* that just plugging them into a sound source would start pumping the audio through the board, but it seems not to be the case. I looked through the combi settings and couldn't see these audio ins listed in any form in the patches.

Does anyone know how to set up the board to process external audio? I looked through the manuals and they said that it is possible, but I can't seem to find where or how.

Thanks kindly for your time. :)

You'll probably have to run the audio through the sampler.
I don't have a copy of the Classic PDF by my side,
but take a look at the sampling pages on how to to set up the audio
input.

If anyone is looking for this in the future, I found it in the Global settings. You can route the audio inputs to the busses or the insert effects.

I routed them to the insert effects, which seems to work okay except in cases where they land on the second half of a double-sized insert effect on a pre-pogrammed patch (eg. if the pre-programmed patch falls on the third and fourth insert effect, an audio input that is being routed to the fourth insert effect will not sound).

Still, good enough for patch writing.

Thanks Barry!

Sorry I didn't catch you after you posted as I got caught up in things; I'll check this out next time I'm at the studio. :)
