wondering if my triton is broken. i should be able to set a channel in combi mode to external , and use a non global midi channel to trigger a softsynth in sonar7 set to the same channel. when set to this config, i can see the midi signal when i change a controller, but not when i play a note. what am i doing wrong, or do i have a problem with my triton.
triton 61 classic, op sys 2.53. .recently reloaded just to make sure. vista32. presonus firestudio project sonar7. all with latest drivers and op systems.

after over a month of checking cables, reinstalling os's, and general midi h3ll, it was the frelling arpegiator! something i never use. seems that if the arpegiator track is set to A or B, those settings trump the note on/off parameters. as soon as i turned them off for that particular channel, wala! now i can move forward. hope this helps some1 else thats trying to use triton as controller, really is an awesome machine.
