Effects while using computer sequencer?

Post by MobBarley »

How do you do it?

I'm using rosegarden.... and I guess the only way to use 16 channels is through sequencer mode.

How do you manage effects for them? While writing the tune, some sounds can be weak without them... particularly drums.

effects in seq mode

I imagine you've got it by now but if I understand correctly and you still haven't done it, you need to check pp 24-29 in Parameter Guide. There's also the technique of copying insert and master effects from the program you want to use in seq mode. Page 8-1A and 9-1A in seq mode.
Still, even if you do that, the quality of sound in seq mode for any given program is inferior to sound in program mode. Or at least, I haven't been able to get it to be as good. Cheers.
