I've had some luck changing the resolution time signature in the Quantize section of the track edit parameter, it makes it groove somewhat tighter, but it is still a little hit and miss. One other thing i did that worked good was making a beat on th mpc as a foundation and putting the midi file on a usb drive and loading it into the M3. this way you get the tight swing of the mpc rhythm played through the m3 and just add your other instruments from there, once you got a good two bars knockin'.

thx for the reply but i was hoping to get more feedback,i actual like using the m3 sequencer but wanted to learn more on how to operate its features,as far as looping, adding swing and quantizing, usually if i start with a drum track and it loops correctly everything else falls in place, but what settings should i use when recording?
