R3 vs MIcron

Hi ..I'm challanged..None of the Music store around here carry the Radias or R3... I just wanted a small analogue style synth for playing away from home, because I take Mass Transit, and I don't want anything too big. I bought the Micron I do like it Very much!, but now I read here that the R3 has a rebate, is this still true as of April 20th? The songs of the R3 online seem to be Different then the Micron, kind of Funkier say, The Micron does Synth pop, and Rock styles good enough for me. I love the Sequenceing capabilties. But That Funkiness of the R3 I can't forget.

So In laymans terms What are can the R3 do better? Does it have any store , phase, latch functions etc.?
