I have a chance of getting a TR76 new or KARMA used for roughly a similiar price..
I don't plan to use the KARMA or the Arp - I play live with a band.
I mostly need a very good piano sound (have a TrinityV3+N364 for other sounds, so already got MOSS), I know TR has one, how about KARMA?
So only available-sounds wise, which do you think is better?

I own both, if I could have only one, it would be KARMA.
I love my TR, in fact I own two TR61s, (long story), but the karma has room for expansion, which for live piano, the Expansion Acoustic pianos are the ones I use exclusively, and it also has more effects available, but both my TRs have the Sampling option, so, whatever fits your needs really.
TR is available in 76, and 88 key versions KARMA is 61 key only.
I'm actually looking to trade one of my TR 61s for another KARMA.

Actually, it's the other way round - the Karma with KARMA technology onboard does a lot more. Having said that, however, if you do not plan to use KARMA GEs, then the TR should be fine.Nedim wrote:Then for your need just get the TR, it'll do a lot more then KARMA

I do actually own a TR61 and a Karma. If I would have to sell one it would definitely be the TR. I do share EJ2's point of view, the Karma can do much more, for me it's more inspiring.
It has been well worth the effort to learn about the Karma function and
go into the depths as it gives me inspiration for songwriting.
If it comes to piano sounds just use the sounds of the EXB's. I bought mine for EUR 79,--. Maybe a modification here and there, the Orchestral expansion and you should be alright.
I only buy used and checked equipment from pro Stores that give you warranty. Prices of TR may drop, I got mine @ EUR 550,-- . The Karma was EUR 999,--
(best money I've ever spent) and in like-new condition with one EXB. I expect the prices in future to rise on the Karma, not
that I would ever think of selling her !!
