Triton Memory tip
Hello,

As about every Tritonian knows, finding good RAM for his/her baby is quite a nightmare : "16 or 32 MB, EDO or Fast Page compatible, access time 60ns or less, 11 bits addressing mode".

The latter, "11 bits addressing mode" is the most important specification the memory must follow. But many manufacturers/sellers don't speak about "addressing mode" and you find "1k", "2k", "4 chips", or other unknown terms.

So, I will give you "the" magic formula. This is not from me, but it is the resume of all I could grab in the forums and by reading some FAQ (this from Kingston is very explanative) :

11 bits addressing mode = 2k refresh

For 16 MB you absolutely need 8 chips, and for 32 MB 16 chips (double-sided, thus 2x8 chips).

I found such memory at 10$ piece at 2-3 shops (search "32 MB EDO 2k" at http://www.pricewatch.com for the list and you'll find the Holy Grail)
