to be quite honest, it make no difference what genre of music a person produces. the ESX will do the same thing for everyone who uses it.

knowing how to construct and design your song is the key part.

sequencing and all that stuff will be the same no matter what you're making.

A lot of people here are into other stuff but I hope that does not stop you from getting some tips here.

The fundamentals are all the same.

You can stretch a sample out, and loop it. It would work wonders for hip hop beats.

In fact my friend does freestyle and I was gonna try and do some electro with him, you know mantronix, newcleus, the odl school electro jams. back when electronic music and hip hop were fused together as one. And it was called:

I think what we have here is a typical case of: more musical experience is required.... and until that is achieved, goals will not be met.

so all I gotta say is bring your tribe down to 75 bpm and practice.

song mode is horrible... forget about it. I would recommend figuring out a way to play em out or to record them and mixing down the final track in ableton or something.... if you don't got it, don't spend money on it untill you can make music on your machine.

The things that you mentioned are not something you can learn in a tutorial, it's something that takes time and patience(and countless nights of lack of sleep). The flow of a track is something that should eventually come naturally... motion sequencing aswell.... motion sequencing is easy to do... you just enable motion sequencing in the part you want and record..... but to be able to use it properly and well will take a while...

I've been making music for a couple of years now and with the electribes for over a year and even tho I'm completely fluent in both EMX and ESX and also very fluent in music produciton... I still have things to learn... it's an ongoing process....

so my message is... if you wonna make some "Phat Beats!" sit down and start low and work your way up... there's no shortcuts... it's kinda like school, you can't go to college level math without taking elementary addition and subtraction...

1- Can we chop up a sample like a mpc can do... and spread the sample into the 16pads?

2- Can we sequence the track or we really need the ableton live?

It's my first post in this forum.

you can slice the sample and assign the slices to the pads, but the mpc does it in a far nicer way. And it is nice to have ableton, but you might manage without it.
