Golden Entertainer Board - SET Datei vs inklusiv LoopStyles?

Post by rbeach »

I am really enjoying my XMS-1 "Golden Entertainer" expansion board.

I do have one question: On the Xprodata's download area, they have a "XMS-1 v301 SET Datei" and also a "XMS-1 v301 SET inklusiv LoopStyles". I cannot read the German text on the site.

Does anyone know what the differences are, and can explain them to me?

Thanks.

The set is the same, but in the set with the loops you´ve additional samples. For example in user3 is a winnetou style with loop samples.

in the one set these samples are inside - in the other not.

Hi I also have bought the Golden Entertainer board, and like it very much, if you could also help wittid, the bkp file for the XMS1 board on the website doesn't work, after 3 dowloads and then trying to restore it, it says file damaged, but the file that was on the CD works OK but it is a couple of months older than the one on the website, was wondering if there was any difference in the two files. I may also start another thread to find out if I can put a couple of Sharps Pianos on with the spare memory that is left on the keyboard.

hi alan,

to get this BKP work you must install our own OS which is in the download area too. http://www.pa1xpro.de/xms_software/XMS1-OS3.011.zip (there are *.exe files (selfextracting) or the files for the disks (only copy to disk 1-4) inside - not put all the files on 1 disk - doesn´t work 2,8MB :-)

Then install OS with INTRO1 button - then you have no problems to install the BKP. (be sure you saved your BKP and your actual SET before - so you don´t want loose datas).

Be sure you´ve 32MB RAM installed.

Hi wittid, now 5 times I have tried the xms-1v30.1 bkp file off the Korg.de website , and re-installed the xms1-os3.011 (this works OK) but the bkp file says file damaged. The bkp file on the CD I received with the XMS board works OK, and I am using the New Board OK but I can't get the File off the inernet to work. Has anyone downloaded this file and checked to see if it works OK.

OK, i can download the file from our site correctly.
Be sure if you unzip - that you not have a folder in a folder !!!

You must have a folder XMS-1v301.BKP and inside this folder you must have files up to file0055.bkp

and if you installes the OS with pressing Intro1 instead of "OK" then it must work. (i´ll check it this evening again to load).

Hi wittid, Found problem, unzipping the Website file it extracts with an extra subfolder where the files are, of course Korg Keyboard will not restore from within a subfolder, All is now well, and thanks very much for your help wiitid. This XMS Golden Entertainer Board is exactly what I was looking for, because the Styles are so well done, so (Play-along-with) and of course new sounds, and the Organ sounds are much better as well. I have only had the board a few days, and it will take weeks for me to hear all the different sounds and styles it contains. And there is also the PA800 Styles that have been tweaked as well.
