Hi Roberto
I use the PA1xpro in a professional capacity and I use the TC Helicon harmoniser a lot.
I think I would be lost without it. It is a fabulous addition to your keyboard but I must addmit it took some getting used to. Once sorted it is invaluable
Regards
Rob

Hi RobertoCarlo,
I use the standard facilities of the TC Helicon quite a lot, and I find that the harmoniser is perfectly adequate and produces fantastic sounds without having to pay the extra for pitch correction and voice modelling. Also the fact that the harmoniser is synthesising voices to exact pitch means that even if my vocals are off slightly, the harmonies still sound good, so I don't think pitch correction for the lead voice is necessary.
You do need to adjust the Global settings (Vocal Harmony & Vocal Presets) to increase the level of harmony voices and decrease the level of the lead voice. Then it's great. The default settings mean you can hardly hear the harmony voices.
Best regards,
Rob

Hi robertocarlo
The voice modeling and pitch correction features are already fully functional on your PA1XPro. What you pay for is to remove the 2-second drop-out every 30 seconds. There are some very good demonstration MP3s on the http://www.korgpa.com website. Considering that you rely on this professionally, I would certainly spend time experimenting with it - it is all there for you to try. If I was you, I would definitely invest in serious experimenting - I think it could add new dimensions to a performance. My main interest would be in the Voice Modeling - I think that if I need pitch correction, then I probably shouldn't be singing in the first place!!
Cheers
Pete

I think I need to clarify...I use the standard harmoniser functions on about 65% of my song list. It was the pitch correction and the other "EXTRA" stuff you get when you pay the upgrade I was talking about. That part, in my view, is not worth the money.
Dennis
PS thought I would add that Korg obviously dont either as the upgrade option is not available on the PA2xPro.

hi friends
Hello rob sherrat. Welcome to taste. Good thing I have tried to use the harmonisador voice. And I feel that is not going to time with the harmony that I hope to hear. There is a slight difference in tone .... an example ... I sing the 1á with you and modify the functions of harmony tc h scaner chorus ... and not let me very happy ¡..... Now let me say that I really sing very refined. No need tuning ()... ... Karmathanever thanks ... But if he wanted to try his luck with the voice MODELING. I feel that there esta'el secrecy of voice ..Thanks Dennis. I use the standard haaa vocal harmony and EQ, EFX. THICKEN IS VERY NICE .... almost all my songs I sing ... no problem with PITCH CORRETION friends ...... GOOD thing is that the different singing styles or plays music in the world .... Example (SAMBA / BOSANOVA / BRAZIL) SALSA / REGAEE / ROCK POP + FLEMISH / SPAIN BACHATA / CALIPSO JAZZ / TAKE FIVE MEXICO RANCHERAS / CUMBIAS / BANDA / QUEBRADITA / DANZON / MANBO ,,,," and all tlapaleria " ... a bit of Argentine tango and without missing the beatles delos / rod steward / police / zepelin / mookees / bee gees / villas people / / music disc 70/80..frank sinatra and much more now experiment with sounds and music turka / arabe...bueno I forgot music italy rammazzotii vasco rozzi nicola d vari gianluca andrea ocheli and more like the music from around the world ....¡ a greeting all best regards....

Hio Robertocarlo,
You are making this too complicated by modifying the presets. Try using the "StayingPutForNow" preset without modifying it. You may need to increase the harmony tracks gain slightly. Also use a good headset microphone costing at least $100. Let me know what you think?
Best regards,
Rob

You raise an interesting point regarding the head set microphone.
I use a standard Sure SM 58 on a boom stand and I get some problem with feed-back due to the mic. picking up the output from the speakers.
I have been thinking of buying a headset mic to reduce this problem. Do you have any thoughts on the subject and if you yourself use a headset mic. what type do you recommend?

I was getting exactly the same problem using a boom microphone in front of my studio monitors. Also the feedback throws the vocal harmonies so badly that sometimes I sound like a dozen cats fighting together. A secondary problem using the boom microphone is that my vocals fade in and out every time I move my head to look at the music sheet or the keyboard. And also I get a pain in my neck!
So, I've just ordered a high quality directional condenser headset microphone with a battery powered sender unit that gives me an XLR output for direct connection to my Pa1x. I expect it to arrive early January so will report back then.
Best regards,
Rob
