PA1X/PA1XPRO Lower track volume

Post by Don »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello All. I have found some very useful info on these pages but cannot find an answer to this problem.
My brother in law and myself have pa1x and pa1xpro. On both keyboards when changing styles or performances the lower track volume control needs a small movement to bring the volume back to to the level it was before changing anything. help appreciated, thanks.

Lower (close the lock)
Pull down Menu and Write Global Setup

Thats it - good luck

Dont press any Plastic buttons, they can been damage like a plastic water gun

Hi all
I think you may be on the wrong track here .
I think you'll find the lower lock locks everything including the sounds, whereas Don is only looking to keep the volume the same in the lower, when changing performances / styles. Am I right Don? (maybe I've got it wrong)

Thanks for replies.
Robthemuso has it correct. It is the lower track volume which regardless of the slider setting, (even full on) always comes on at a low level when changing styles/performances. The slider only needs the slightest touch to bring the volume back up. I wondered if there is some global preset which causes this.

Don,
I thinks its to do with your Start Up Performance. Put the level where you like it then Write the Performance to Performance 01 (Drop down menu, Write Performance). Then save Global preferences.

Thanks guys for your suggestions.
I have tried setting the lower volume level and then writing to performance 01 and also the global. This seems to work ok and when changing between any of the 4 sts buttons the volume is staying the same.
Does this mean I have to go through every style and sts on the KB to get it to work the same in every style ?? When I change from performance 01
(bootup) style I still have the same problem with the volume changing between sts's. IE. sts1 set volume say at 8. change to sts2 and volume is low (slider is in the same position 8) A very tiny movement of the slider brings the volume back as it was in sts1 !! "help"

If you have properly saved your global/performance preferences then you will not need to adjust all the others.
Note that the sliders only become active after moving them - your preferred settings will overrule the sliders positioning.
Best,
John
PS: If you don't want volume settings to change when you change Styles - turn off Single Touch button.

Thanks John. I guess I did not save the global preferences correctly !
Will try it again later.
