TR PCG

Yup completely swappable, but due to the Triton having older sample sets, some patches (I'm looking at you Pianos) will not sound the same.

MOSS board presence

As the previous poster said it will indicate on the boat screen all options installed: EXB-MOSS EXB-SCSI EXB-PCM1 EXB-PCM-2 etc. Also in the case of the MOSS board you will be able to access bank F of MOSS Programs....assuming your MOSS board is functional. Mine no longer is as it got zapped at the ...

Factory pre-load

YMMV of course, but I did find a few useful programs (no useful combos, sadly) in the factory C and D banks. Saved them into my E bank prior to overwriting with EXB sounds. Of course each person's definition of useful is subjective.

His memory of it being more than one disk is actually correct if you download directly from Korg's website....the factory preload data has the .PCG for all the programs/Combi/Arps/drum kits on disk 1 and the samples for the SNG preloads on disk 2. I just pulled mine out to check. If you don't need ...

5starrob, the Mac version is corrupt. When I bought my Triton, I as a mac user tried to download the same file. It is corrupted on the Korg website. Luckily at work I use PC's. I downloaded the PC version which is NOT corrupt, and made the floppies there. The install then proceeded normally. This is ...

For piano sounds you basically have three options: 1) tweak the existing programs to improve the sound from the ROM samples 2) install either the EXB-PCM 01, or EXB-PCM 08 expansion ROMS 3) utilize RAM sampled pianos, either sampled yourself or acquired from others The downloads section of this ...

This is a tough one for me. As the owner of a "regular" Triton, a Triton Extreme with MOSS, and an m50, I like all three boards. The thing is, despite some great features and more realistic samples, I think I like the m50 least. It is hard to put my finger on why. Certainly it has the worst key ...

I'm not familiar with that particular audio interface, but to get sound into Protools, that is the general procedure...connect your instrument outputs into your audio interface and record them into audio tracks within your DAW of choice. This would also be true with your sequence if you prefer the ...

This is a tough one for me. As the former owner of a Triton Extreme with MOSS (It blew up due to power problems at a venue, and was classed as unrepairable by the shop) and current owner of the m50, I like both boards. The thing is, despite some great features and more realistic samples, I think I ...

Krome and M50 Compatibility

The Krome parameter guide on page 369 covers this specific topic. I would advise downloading the PDF of that for reference. Basically, the Krome will load and convert on the fly m50 formatted PCG files and SNG files, but not m3 format PCG files. Most elements are converted, but their are certain ...

Extracting multi samples from EXB-PCM

There is a piano program included with the EXB-PCM01 called Trinity Grand which sounds very similar to a stock Trinity piano. It tends to be my goto piano on my Triton Pro because it has a very nice character that fits well in the mix with the other instruments. I would like to use this program on ...

CF Card on a MAc

Also, if you do not have a CF card reader for your mac, it doesn't matter. Put the card in the extreme, and connect the extreme to the mac via the USB TO HOST port.....this will allow you to access the card on your desktop.... Be certain to eject it before removing the USB connection, to avoid ...

TEX-76 w/MOSS

I bought mine used at GC for $999. They didn't know that it had the MOSS board in it or they would have priced it higher....
