The struggle is real. My solution was to sell my Kronos 2 61 and buy a new one since the old one, bought in 2015 at the release, had seen a lot of gigs and a lot of travel time. The new one has never left my house. So It's good to go. In addition, I did purchase a Fantom 7 in early 2020. It's been a ...

There's lots of Rhodes sounds on the EP-1, or you could plan to buy a new one when they're available... https://www.rhodesmusic.com/

Might find this useful as well... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6DcBsSdA_0

This Sound bank is great for exactly what you're looking for. I highly recommend it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUnUozfA0Qg As stated above, I have never heard anything from a Nord I couldn't do on a Kronos. In fact, I usually get so much more from my Kronos than other keyboard players get from ...

I have both - a Kronos 61 and Fantom 7. Here's my current take. The Fantom has a slightly better build quality (knobs and sliders are better/stronger), but the semi-weighted keybeds are equal in quality from a touch perspective. I have always preferred the Kronos workflow, but the Fantom does have a ...

A few things to consider: 1) That price for a mint Kronos 73 is amazing! Since you could return it if needed, I'd give that a shot before selling the G7 if you could do that. 2) Korg and Roland are different in their process, workflow, and terminology, so there will be a learning curve. I have a ...

Of the instrument’s the only one to meet my piano needs more or less out the box was the Kawai MP7SE. I had the same experience after owning a K2 88, RD800, RD2000, and CP88... I finally landed on the Kawai MP11SE... easily the most amazing stage piano ever made... if you don't plan on moving it w ...

It simply can't stay as it is now, or they will loose lots of faithful customers, not returning easily once relying on alternatives, as you said. I received word from a trusted source in early 2020 that Korg was planning a new workstation a la Kronos. I sold my Kronos in anticipation. Then we got ...

That's just offering whack different kinds of shortcomings, not making much sense, across their keyboards, in classical bad Rolandesque manner. Does anyone at Korg seriously think, that they could make the bad controller surface of the Nautilus more attractive by adding a few updated sounds, which ...

Interestingly, Sweetwater's site at the moment says, "Only 8 left in stock! More on the way." Is it possible this is all just a product of the chip shortage? Looks like they're all gone at Sweetwater, although it claims "More on the way"... this could be just a normal thing to list for now. May be ...

For the Kronos 3 all Korg need at a minimum is another slightly edited touchscreen in tilt or size difference and that's the new interface screen. Then Korg will add the new Nautilus style looking but slightly better UI menu that everyone is gonna love as relief from the current menu interface ...

Mostly conjecture, but I've seen and heard enough from various sources to be convinced Korg will have a new synth released before EOY, potentially a Kronos replacement.

Piano Types

I've searched far and wide and can't find the answer. Perhaps someone here knows. In the Piano Types names, what does the "D" or "C" represent, and what about the lowercase "s" at the end of some? (i.e. "German D Dark 1 s") Is this obvious and I'm unenlightened?
