From what I've been reading, it seems that the JP-80 is worth it. Roland aimed to make a good, cheaper alternative but seemed to fail.

The demos for the JP-50 dont seem all that convincing, at least yet. While the JP50 is stripped of a lot that makes the JP80 attractive, such as the touchscreen and ten-tones at a time, I wont rule it out until I see some more demonstrations.

Make sure you have all the chords down. Even though I'm self-tought I can still find the bass scale a bit tricky to play along with the treble scale (which I have no problem playing that scale, maybe its just the rights my dominant hand)

Actually I found a M3 on eBay a guys selling with no reserve price. It has stickers on it but I'm sure theyre removable.
