OK! I finally got it installed! I had to use my wife's computer (Windows 7).I'm not sure why mine (Windows XP) wouldn't work, but now that it's done, I'm a happy camper! Thanks everyone for your help! It's nice to know there's someplace we can turn to for help!

Are combis from the "Karma" compatible to work in the Kronos? Can the Karma programs and combis be transferred in some way?
I am still trying to figure out Kronos' karma. I've been using red for about 7 years, and the Kronos for a week tomorrow! Each day is a new discovery!

Is there a way to calibrate the ribbon controller? I looked in global, and couldn't find a setting for the ribbon. I seem to have to press down pretty firmly to get it to work.(This is my first experience with a ribbon contoller)

Thank goodness I'm retired! Got to bed at 2 AM and back at it at 8 AM! I've started to aquaint myself with the programs, and trying to compare controllers with my Karma (the only other board I'm keeping....for now!) I received my K61 today, and I am both blown away by the sounds, and a bit daunted by the steep learning curve ahead of me! A far cry from my first Korg, a DW6000!

Al Kooper on "His Holy Modal Majesty"...whatever instrument Al plays in '68 (listed as Ondioline) on Super Session...it sure opened my eyes to something VERY different for it's time. Al Kooper is an under-appreciated genius IMHO.

The solution is obvious: Korg needs to include a voice synthesizer to read the screen to us vision-challenged seniors!

My first synth was a Korg DW6000, followed quickly by a DW8000, then a DX5...great board but a bear to lug around in its flight case!
