HA! FIXED!! I'm pretty sure there are 2 typical flaws in the korg Electribes concerning volume. And fixing one might compensate for the other one. 1. the volume knob is s**t. I had some distortion and huge volume difference, was very low on the left. Now with another potentiometer soldered in, left ...

Damn :-/ RS doesn't send to "partikulieren", only businesses.. u need a tax number. I tried and that is what they replied. EDIT : used the company tax number of my mom's business :-) don't know if they'll send a charge for delivery afterwards but then it would cost the same as elsewhare anyway. Most ...

Wow thanks a lot! I found a Belgian division of that same RS, in the checkout I didn't even see any charges?! And I was just at the last confirm page - I'm sure it's a lot better :-) Just one more question, since you seem to know what you're doing, I can solder the potentio just fine, but what if I ...

Well I actually opened it op a few days ago and although the number PVT112 B103 etc seems correct there must be, or a error in the picture or even another type because I believe the potentiometer inside had 6 small mounting points nest to the two large ones on the side.

@evandepol In long term, was your fix solid and the problem stayed away? Am thinking of doing the same thing using the same potentiometer. They do charge a lot of money to send it. The thing itself is neglectable but the shipping is over 20€ (mouser). Interesting for bulk amounts but not so for s ...

It's true I get a warmer sound turning those little knobs to the right but if the tubes were at fault, wouldn't switching them change the balance to the other side? I'm really thinking the potentiometer is at fault, after all the low volume is always left no matter how the tubes are placed and there ...

I have just acquired a ESX, the main volume pot gave some noise on the left but after some contact spray all was alright. BUT the left is a lot more quiet. Is it normal that even after exchanging the right tube with the left, the left is still more silent? I would've expected the left to become the ...
