Hello.. Yes, you can sequence your MIDI gear with the Electribe or Electribe Sampler. I recorded a demo sequencing a Yamaha PSR-41 with the ES2, on Instagram:

You can slice all the drumloops, and then toggle between them, in a makeshift legato mode. I did a tutorial on this about 6 years ago or so:

If you set the start and end point, or do any other sample editing, you must perform the "Export All Samples" function (Data Utility) before powering off. This will truncate your samples, and save your slices, pitch etc.

You have to "Export All Samples" in Data Utility, before powering down. It's frustrating, to be sure, but clearly stated in the manual. You should read the manual.

Sequencing external gear with the ES2 requires a bit of setup. For this live demonstration, I sequence the Yamaha PSR-41, a "big brother" of the PSR-36.

You should be able to accomplish this in the Motion Sequence destination and value editor, in the Step Edit menu.
