... and there it is. The Montage on the top tier would still not be a workstation. It simply doesn't have that capability set. If that would meet your need, you manifestly do not need a workstation. Some workstations historically just happen to have a subset of their functions that is useful to you ...

Yup, pretty much by definition a workstation is the wrong product for you, and you might actually be much better off with an arranger, or a performance keyboard. Just because i hardly use the sequencer doesn't make the workstation the "wrong product" for me. I completely disagree on that one. There ...

Re: Kronos 61 Keybed disappoints-rant
Yes I’m bitchin cause I don’t like semi-weighted synth action on workstations. Call the Keybed what you want, but there is no way you can compare the FS Mk1 Keybed to the semi-weight synth action of the Kronos. I’ve owned 4 tritons a couple were the studio models… they all had the same Keybed, there ...

ROSHH regulation killed the FS keybed and the lead weights in it to get the weighting. As If I am going to dissemble my keyboard and start licking the lead! LOL!! It wasn't because of the end user of the keyboard's health. It was for the environmental factor of manufacturing products that used lead ...

Re: Kronos 61 Keybed disappoints-rant
In the fall of 2019 I purchased my Korg Kronos online, I really wish I had tried out the Keybed feel before purchasing… I had been a triton and triton studio user exclusively since they came out and absolutely loved the Keybed feel/action! I mistakenly thought that the Kronos being the upgrade of t ...

Don't know if you 've read this interview before, but this is a cool interview with Jack Hotop, the lead sound designer for many of the Korg flagships (including the M1) talking about the creation of a few samples from the M1 on the Sound On Sound mag: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/korg-m1 ...

Looking at the raw samples, both sample (very short) time, perfect loop points, and especially knowing that great programs that they came up with based on those samples, my respect for the development team went even higher. And this was made in the 80's, when memory was at a big premium and they ...

I also have TSDU series of disks (img). I can't remember if they are only Prog/Cobi disks or if they also have extra samples in them I could be mistaken, but I think the TSDU disks are part of the "Workdisk" collection. Looking at the printed piece of paper shown in one of the photos from here , at ...

This is an outstanding work. Thankyou very much!! :D Are those Wav samples the actual original samples (with the original loop points) from the M and T series internal ROM's, or are they a resample of the waveforms? You are very welcome. This was a hobby project I started a year ago and felt that ...

Bro...., This is an outstanding work. Thankyou very much!! :D I have the T disks, but i think i have one or two missing. Are those Wav samples the actual original samples (with the original loop points) from the M and T series internal ROM's, or are they a resample of the waveforms? My guess is it's ...

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=100524 Just a little off topic about that SY99 key repair pdf posted on that topic above..., i absolutely cringe when ever i see some one posting "instructions" on how to replace keys on those keybeds (korg or yamaha) and instruct people to "be ...

Hi, Just a thought, from the top of my head, to help to troubleshoot the issue... Does the vol increase happens to the whole output while playing or does it occur, randomly, on specific keys or areas of the keyboard? If it ocurrs on specific keys it may just be some dirty or worn out key contacts ...

Unfortunately there are no other synths that can directly read T series disks. The sysex programing is different for other korg's even if most of the parameters are similar. The phisical disk types are also different, T3 uses HD 1.4MB disks and the 01W uses DD 700kb disks. I don't know if any of the ...
