Load the Factory Global settings. Go to Disk, Factory, Open Preload PCG, Select Global Settings and Load.

The Kronos X is installed with a number of Korg sound libraries that are in demo mode. You’ll need to purchase the authorization keys for those in the Korg store which will change the status of the library to Authorized from Demo. UD103 Fall/Doit Trumpets SW2 makes use of a Wave Seq. Just press SW2 to activate the Doit sound. You could also create a program from scratch using the Trumpets-Doit Multisample from the EXs3 Multisample Bank.

That sound is a trumpet “doit” there’s a preset. Search doit and the sound is triggered by a high velocity. Just extend the lower velocity range of that Multisample.

I bought the MOD7 as an expansion instrument for the Korg OASYS when it first came out but it wasn’t until years into owning the Kronos that it made any sense to me. Once I understood a couple of basic concepts it opened a world of enjoyment for me. I hope this tutorial helps those who still find it ...
