Propellerhead Reason - Live

Hi, I am performing at a concert, and the intro which is about a minute will be played from Reason. How would I go about doing this? How would my laptop get connected to the mixerboard? Should I play the intro from REASON or export it as a wave file and play that? While we're at it, is there anyway ...

Reason - Individualized Drum Tracks

Hi !

Is there any way to isolate each drum to one channel in the mixerboard?

For example I want to send my bass into channel1, snare into channel 2... and so forth.

And then I want to send the 8 channels into channel one one on the MAIN MIXERBOARD where everything is playing.

Thanks !

Cheers bud :) Well it is kind of a confusing thing to set up as it's not very straight forward. But when you get it, it will change your live performance.

Click Track

I've received quite a few pm's regarding how to isolate a click out track for a certain musician on stage when using the sequencer or styles. So I thought, I might as well post a public response. I'll tell you what I do on the PA800. Normally I send 3 click tracks; one to the drummer, bassist, and ...

Another thought & this may be whacky, (I've also never tried it, ) could be to maybe to just chop the midifile into suitable sections, Intro, verse , chorus, fills, set them to No Transpose & just trigger them as required. You couldn't actually change chords, you'd just play melody. Probably not ...

It's just part of midi specification. Channel 10 is reserved for drums and percussions (non-pitched perc. ). I start off with the top solo lines (intro, bridges, ending and of course vocals) ,then add drums, because in most songs drums usually play all the way through. If there are pads, that's ...

Sam, when you sequence your songs for the keyboard, how do you do it? Like I know how to sequence but what is the most efficient way? do you do the drums, percussion, and bass on the computer and record the rest on the keyboard and finally load it all up on ur comp sequencer to adjust notes that ...

It seems that for importing SMF to create a new Style, you need Type 0. In Song Play and Song modes, you can use both Type 0 or 1 in all Pa-series. No difference with v2, it still works the same. Type 0 is not an "old" format, by the way. jg:: by "old" i did not mean obselete. Type 0 was the first ...

Reason and PA800

I have been going all over the help box but haven't been able to find the answer. If I want to sequence songs in Reason, how can I set up the 16 channels? Cause right now, when I sequence a song, it goes into Channel one when I load the midi file into my PA800. There has to be a way to set up ...
