PA700: Adding an ending to an existing arrangement
Hi I have a number of MIDI songs which I have created using the Sequencer Mode, with a style and tempo chosen in the Style Play mode. Within a song I didn't want to keep playing the same chords over and over, so I used copy, to create several copies of the same verse, as you do. Now, having created ...

Re: Korg PA700 - connecting PC
Well, since I use my board live (both playing it and using MP3 files that I play over), having the MicroSD card installed is a good way to have the different files in there. The Korg Disk does not have a lot of room (I believe, around 1 Gb of storage) and frankly, I treat my keyboard like a ...

Re: Korg PA700 - connecting PC
This seems like the perfect solution, if I could get it to work for me. I've installed a MicroSD card, formatted it, and copied some files from the internal Korg disk to the card. I installed the latest USB drivers from Korg. Then I connected the Korg PA700 to the PC, using a USB-A to USB-B cable ...

Korg PA700 - connecting PC
I am not sure that the PA700 will see the phones as an external drive. I remember plugging my iPhone with a USB cable to charge it and there were not problems at all. In fact, I have plugged a lot of different things into the USB port and used it for charging things. Your best bet is to use a Flash ...

Re: "Play" section in Style Play mode
Thanks, good to know it wasn't just meBR wrote: That's correct and agreed that it's confusing.
It's the same case with Pa1000 and Pa4X.

"Play" section in Style Play mode
Thanks for all that detail. However I still don't understand what role choosing a song has, when in Style Play mode. All the things you mention: playing along with the song, seeing the music and lyrics etc, are done in Song Play mode. It appears to me that in Style Play mode, choosing a song, in the ...

"Play" section in Style Play mode
Hi I've had the PA700 for a couple of months now, and I think I've figured most things out. One thing has puzzled me from the start. In Style Play mode, I understand choosing a style, choosing a keyboard, and choosing different instruments. But what does choosing a song in the "Play" section (above ...

Re: Korg PA700 - way to automate stop/restart of takes?
Thanks Harry
To be honest i was more thinking of where I am composing a simple piano melody rather than an arrangement, and I make a mistake and stop playing completely.
But I can see the value in keeping the recorder running, and copy/pasting the take that works.
Thanks again

Korg PA700 - way to automate stop/restart of takes?
Recent owner of Korg PA700. As I'm not that accurate a player, I seem to spend an awful lot of time in Sequencer mode, when I make a mistake, pressing Stop record Record Multitrack OK Play Which really adds up if you need dozens of takes, over several different tracks. Is there any way of assigning ...

Possible to connect a phone in the Host USB port of PA700?
Is it possible to connect a phone via the host port, ie to use the phone as a storage device? I just want to copy MP3s to the phone storage, not to use it for MIDI. I know I can copy them to USB stick, then onto PC or whatever, was just hoping there was a more direct way. I could just go ahead and ...

Quick questions from a Korg PA700 newbie
Hi Proud parent of a brand new baby Korg. Rather than open a thread for each one, here are a few quick questions about the PA700: 1. Outside of using ones from style mode, can I find premade drum loops to run under a multitrack sequencer recording? Or is the way to do this to record my own, and then ...

PA700 Using guitar as a basis for a song
New owner of a PA700 I know that you can create a song, and then record guitar over it using MP3 record. Is it possible to record a guitar part using the guitar input, and then create a song (using the sequencer) around that? I haven't so far found a way. I know it's not a huge deal, but I'm more ...
