It was the order of the tissue paper and the LCD chunky glass ... just had to make sure the display contact rail was making good contact.

I took my Microkorg XL apart and painted the body. Turned out great. Reassembling this, the paper and glass slipped out of the LCD display housing I put it back in the order and orientation I thought but the letters in the display come out missing or scrambled. Not sure what I have done, nor what ...
