Re: Is it safe to leave your Kronos on?

My Kronos 2 has been on 24/7/365 in my studio since 2017 when I bought it and I've had zero issues with it. The only time it gets shut off is if I'm on a planned vacation of a week or more. So it's probably been off for a total of 35 weeks in 8 years.

I have gigged for over two decades with a UPS running in front of all my gear. It started when I had a Roland Fantom X7 that, with all of my card samples loading, would take 4+ minutes to boot. I was playing an outdoor gig and someone goofing around kept unplugging one of the extension cords ...

Re: Speaking of updates...

The Roland Fantom just just got a massive update, adding new features and an actual model expansion which, tbh, isn't something I'd be using anyway BUT ...being the owner of a Kronos 2 - for 7 years now - I can't recall Korg ever releasing something like that. Can you? Here, check it out. https ...

In addition, no company will sell an expensive product for 9 years at a loss or even at break even. Not true. Tesla is a great example--been in business for 17 years and never made a profit. They probably will eventually, but so far they've had significant losses every year. I have posted this ...

Marketing gimmick... always be suspicious of terms like, “limited time”, “limited edition”... these are just terms to indicate scarcity in the supply-demand curve. Very true. In the automotive business, whenever you see a "Limited Edition" of any mainstream vehicle it means it's the end of the lifec ...

I've been using my Event PS8 bi-amp monitors for almost 20 years and they are phenomenal. These were top-of-the-line back in the late 90s/early 00s and I've yet to find something with which I want to replace them. Mine have been on 24/7 in my studio their entire life and I've never had an issue with ...

Re: Cancer Warning for Kronos2 61 hard case

I was about to order a Kronos2 61 with a hard case. Then I found on this site https://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-KOR-HCKRNS261-LIST a California Proposition 65 Warning (Cancer and Reproductive Harm - www.P65Warnings.ca.gov ). (Item no longer available). At retailers in California the case is ...

is this case ok for long run use? as in transporting long distances on wheels? I've considered the Gator poly case with the TSA locks for better protection, but weight does kind of creep in, it's for the LS88 lew My rule is this: if you are the only one handling your gear, then you can get away ...

I've had a KC-220 for over 10 years as my stage monitor. Pole mounted beside or behind me works fantastic in a rock band setting. It won't recreate all of the lows from a full-range speaker, and I wouldn't use it if I needed to rely on it for FOH sound, but since it only serves as a stage monitor ...

Me too. As a gigging musician the 2 73 is a pain to lug. Love it at home in the studio but on stage I'd gladly take semi-weighted keys in exchange for portability.

Long-time gigging Fantom X7 owner here. My intent was to migrate over to the Kronos 2 73 for gigging but I haven't had the time to start recreating all of my Fantom splits/layers to the Kronos, and quite frankly I'm not comfortable enough yet operating it to gig with it. It's all fine and good until ...

Under Global, select the Controllers/Scales tab and in the bottom section assign the Vector Joystick X and Y axis to off. Then write the Global controller settings. This should disable the joystick altogether and will at least get you through your gig.

Success! Steve was 100% correct.....this appears to be an incompatibility with the latest build of Windows 10 64-bit (and possibly 32-bit). I did as he suggested, selected the "Troubleshoot Compatibility" option from the right-click menu on the icon in Explorer, and let it do its thing. The first ...

I got the exact same error last night after a clean Windows 10 re-build and mine too was all working before. I tried various options to fix, in the end I did a right click on the Editor icon and selected the "troubleshoot compatibility" this suggested some settings that I accepted and it is now ...

Kronos Editor 3.1 crashes on startup

I've got my Kronos2 73 (OS 3.1.2) connected via USB to my Windows 10 64-bit desktop PC. The install of the Korg drivers and the USB/MIDI drivers went fine, as did the install of the editor. I can see the Kronos in Device Manager and when I use either the 'Configure Korg Driver Setup Utility' or ...
