You can hit write while the pattern chain is playing and save any edits you've made to the parameters. If you want to stop the pattern from jumping to the next chained pattern, hit the record button. While the pattern chaining is not perfect it is a huge step up for these machines. I don't ...

But then, why on earth would they make it so you can't roll back to previous firmware? That's something you're supposed to be allowed to do with anything that gets updated, just in case the newer version doesn't work so great. To me, this is a signal of an effort to lock out the possibility of ...

Re: bricked

Sorry - if his box got stolen, burned, crushed, or dropped I would gladly give some sympathy. But when you mess around with stuff you know nothing about you get what you get. My thinking cap says if you want the sampler either buy it or wait to see if Korg comes out with an official update. This ...

After trying the sampler functionality on the electribe, I'd much rather have just the sampler working 100%, if I had to choose. Just saying.

And sadly, the only documented factory restore procedure is accessed by the menus. If it were only the display gone blank a key combo could do the trick. Only resort I can see is taking it to service. I wouldn't be too chatty about flashing adultered firmware at it and hope the job is done on the ...

Ouch :( Maybe there were some misplaced edits outside the header? I imagine getting something wrong in the header itself would make the electribe reject the file. I'm not the best person to help, but to better understand the issue some better explanations seem needed. Your problem happened right ...

Korg has NEVER been that open of a company, I'm still surprised so many people "expect" that they should be. Interesting seeing how what people expect out of a company over time, long way from 20 years ago. :) It'd be nice if they were as open and engaging with customers as say u-he, or some of the ...

I was excited to hear the new electribe hardware referred to as a "platform" and something for long-term. When did that happen? I believe I missed any statement in that sense. About it being unfinished, I still feel a bunch of rough edges on the electribes to this day. Like the fact that you can't ...

If Korg was actually planning to do something like this (or offer an update that keeps things separte but adds cool new features) they might feel the need to do it sooner rather than later. That's not a disaster for anyone. If they DID plan go dual boot, then they have taken way too long with no ...

Sorry, but at the moment we have no plans to make a special version for the hacked electribe. If rumors are true and Korg will release a firmware swap officially, we will update the apps if necessary of course. I understand the need for this is precarious, but shouldn't it be effortless enough to ...

Anyone had success with the "export all sample" function? I have no problem importing files created on the PC sample editor, but whenever I try to import a dump file created with the grey electribe it gives me an "unknown error" message.
