Life saving tool!! I'm transferring a set from Korg Triton to Mainstage and to be able to convert the original KSF samples is just perfect. Thank you very much Daz :)

It looks to me like you get banks C and D with a 512K card, and they can be played instantly but you can't use them in sequences. That's what I gleaned from looking at an online manual I found. But it was confusing so I could be talking entire rubbish!! I can't test the supposition because I don't ...

Haha, long time, long post!! Well, glad it's all worked. Yep, fiddly little blighters they are, took many hours for mine because I had to resolder the contact points to allow it to slot behind the LCD panel. Looks fantastic now and nice and bright for gigs. Not looking forward to having to do it ...

ellll - Thanks! I used your original thread to find out what I should do when I first decided to replace my backlight! I looked at microstru but decided to order from GlowSafe (a UK company) because it was easier to arrange UK delivery. BTW, they're all the same type - EL or Electro Luminescent ...

Hi, Yep, I bought one from Glowsafe. But, it's too wide and too long! Essentially, it's a completely flat plastic panel with two leads coming off it at some point. When the leads are connected to power then it glows evenly all over - bit spooky! I had quite a bit of trouble with mine because of two ...

fac, there seems to be a few companies out there that will replace the backlight for you but it's genuinely a time consuming task and they're prices reflect this. The cost of the backlight itself is minimal in comparison. If you do it yourself it'll take several hours and you will definitely need a ...

As noted in another thread here, I've just replaced the EL screen in my O1/W and it's fantastic. I tried it out in sunlight (for those open air gigs!) and it's clearly visible. All very good. Took me a few hours but it's been well worth it. The high pitch whine occurs when either the connection isn ...

Hi, I've just finished replacing the EL panel and it looks great! Just the same as the photos of the O1R/W above. Couldn't take any photos myself because my camera was out of batteries. Anyway, apart from the hassle of taking the O1W apart, it was bit of a nightmare because my EL panel was too large ...

I'm in the UK and I've just ordered one of these panels:

It's due to arrive in the next few days and I'll be fitting it in the next few weeks. Hopefully it'll work...

I'll keep you posted.

Will do. It'll be a couple of weeks at least. I might even write up a HowTo...

I've got an open air gig this weekend and I really wish I'd been more on the ball and got it sorted ages ago!

Just looking through old posts about backlights for info. Maybe you've fixed yours already??? But... I'm not familiar with your synth but I'm about to replace the backlight light in my O1W. It's an Electro-Luminescent panel, which is essentially a sheet of plastic with 2 wires which glows when ...

You might find that your midi device manufacturer has made Vista drivers, but probably not, and that'll be your problem. So, check for the latest drivers. Most manufacturers aren't updating their hardware drivers to run with Vista because it would cost them money for no return - rather they'd like ...

Hi, In a couple of weeks I'll be replacing the EL panel on my O1W becuase it's really dim, but I'm going to use another EL panel rather than go for LEDs because there's not really much space in the O1W. It seems that apart from having to take the whole keyboard apart, replacement should be fairly ...

No suggestions... just some more info. I've a friend with a similar problem. He'd be holding a chord and for no reason the held sound would stop. Further key presses would sound as normal but the ones already held would not come back. He has 3 triton extremes (2 x 76 note and 1 x 88 note) all of ...

In my mind I've always wondered why all of the realtime controls are on the left. I'd like some control buttons in the middle and some on the right. If you've ever looked closely at large church organs you'll have noticed that they some have small push buttons just below the keys in the middle of ...
