Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me here. I've checked the manual and looked for a previous thread to no avail.
I load the midi file in from the SD card
Go into SEQ
I select the song
I then press play - it plays OK
I then rewind it to the beginning and press play again
The numbers advance as if the tracks are playing and the sound bars jump up and down for each track but there is no sound
Only remedy seems to be to switch off the krome and start again
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance . .
MIDI FILE ONLY PLAYS ONCE THEN NO SOUND

Do you save the .mid file you've loaded?
Can you load the song again from the SD card without power cycling (off/on)?
Can you access and load songs from the media menu without power cycle? (whatever Krome uses to access the SD card)

I'm not a Krome expert, but it seems to me that you're using the Krome as a one time player (its certainly acting that way).
I suspect that if you want to play that same song more than once you need to save it into internal memory before playing.
You should be able to load it at any time from media. If it is loading from the card at all I would expect that you could re-load it at any time, no power cycle required.

No Sound after playing a MIDI file
Just checked - have this problem using Cakewalk - found the solution was releated to a Global setting. Just tried this with the Demo song to check same result if this switch is not checked.
What am I talking about - Well in Global Mode - Page P1 MIDI under the Basic heading there is a Local Control on selection make sure this is checked (red box on). Presume that your midi songs have a SYS command that is turning this function off.
Hope this helps.
