An info for Camel Audio users - support ends July 7, 2015
Sad news indeed - Camel Audio folds operation
January 8, 2015
We would like to thank you for the support we've received over the years in our efforts to create instruments and effects plug-ins and sound libraries.
Camel Audio's plug-ins, Alchemy Mobile IAPs and sound libraries are no longer available for purchase. We will continue to provide downloads of your previous purchases and email support until July 7, 2015. We recommend you download all of your purchases and back them up so that you can continue to use them (Instructions: How to Download and Backup Your Products).

Why no point?! I am interested in ur opinion!Sharp wrote:That's very disappointing, but I'm also not too surprised.
No point in going into it now, but I will be sad to see them close either way.

There is a lot of rumors on all music sites about them being bought out by a bigger player...
But nothing really with any proof...
However, i can not believe that one of the best and most innovative products on the market (Alchemy) would not be continued... There where even a lot of rumors of Alchemy2 testers saying that it would blew everything away...
Well, maybe thats the reason they went silent, Alchemy2.......

Even if they close down.... They will have sold their assets, i think there are enough possible buyers, like DAWs that would love to add Alchemy or even Alchemy2 to their repertoire...BasariStudios wrote:There is a difference between going silent and closing the company down...lol.Bachus wrote:Well, maybe thats the reason they went silent, Alchemy2.......
Which would be a shame, if a great VST like this becomes part of a single DAW..

Pure guess on my part, but I know that Cakewalk is missing a heavy duty audio coding guy. Or at least reports were that the last guy who did their home baked plugs left. Cakewalk has been known to "assimilate" high quality plugins in their products. But the big ones are all available for purchase as VST.
Sounds plausible....SanderXpander wrote:Pure guess on my part, but I know that Cakewalk is missing a heavy duty audio coding guy. Another option would be bitwig, they are working their arses off to get their product on par and past ableton live, having Alchemy2 as part of Bitwig might push them forward by miles...
But thats just an assumption
No , i think it's good to know the reasons of fail so probably others will not do the same mistake!Sharp wrote:Mainly because it's too late, anything I could say wouldn't change anything. It's quite disappointing because they had great products.chilly7 wrote: Why no point?! I am interested in ur opinion!
If I were to bring it up now, I'd feel like I'm kicking a dead horse.
