how do I save midi files?

Post by frankeysquad »

I recently got a Korg Krome, I have been buying midi for my two man band. I can get the midi files to load and I can remove the events from the the file and make changes. I get them all mixed and sounding good but, I don't know how to save them. Do I go back in the media and save as a pcg or sng or midi? Thanks :D

Yes you save songs in the media screen. I would just save all everytime the files are super small and with a normal sd card you could save thousands of times before you fill it up. you can also save as the same name and replace everytime. Anyway you do not save in sequencer itself. BTW as soon as you turn off the Krome all sequences are lost and need to be reloaded by media again.

PCG stands for "Programs, Combinations, Global", that's what it saves. Useful, but if you only need to save the songs, SNG is the sequencer data.
